To begin, make a chain slightly longer than desired length, turn. 1st row: S c in 2nd ch from hook, s c in each ch across. Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: Skip 1st s c, * d c in next s c, skip 2 s c, d c in next s c, ch 5, skip 2 s c. Repeat from * across, ending row with d c in last s c. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: S c in 1st d c, s c in 1st sp, * ch 7, s c in next sp (a loop). Repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn. 4th row: In each loop across make: 4 s c, ch-4 p, 4 s c. Break off.
