Make a chain slightly longer than desired length. 1st row: D c in 8th ch from hook, * ch 2, skip 2 ch, d c in next ch. Repeat from * across. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: * 2 d c in next sp, 4 d c in next sp, 2 d c in next sp, ch 8, turn, s c in last d c of 8-d c group, ch 1, turn, 11 s c in ch-8 loop, ch 3, turn, 8 d c in center s c of 11-s c group, with ch-1 between each d c, ch 1, s c in last s c of 11-s c group for 1st scallop (but for subsequent scallops, join last ch-1 with s c in last s c of previous scallop), turn, (ch 3, s c in next ch-1 sp) 7 times, ch 3, s c in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, skip 1 sp of 1st row. Repeat from * across.
