Two-color edging—suggest Sport Green and Yellow.

Edging. To begin, make a chain slightly longer than length desired, turn. 1st row: D c in 8th ch from hook, * ch 2, skip 2 ch, d c in next ch. Repeat from * across. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: * 3 d c in ch-2 sp, ch 2, s c in next sp, ch 2. Repeat from * across, ending row with 3 d c in last sp. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: S c in each d c, s c in ch-2 sp, ch 3, turn. Skip 3 s c, d tr in next s c, ch 3, d tr in same place as last d tr, ch 1, turn. Then, make 2 s c, ch 3, 2 s c in each ch-3 sp, ** 2 s c in next ch-2 sp, s c in each of 3 d c, 2 s c in each of next two ch-2 sps, s c in each of next 3 d c, 2 s c in next sp, ch 3, turn. Skip 4 s c, d tr in next s c, * ch 3, d tr in same place. Repeat from * once, ch 3, skip 4 s c, sl st in next s c, ch 1, turn. Make 2 s c, ch 3, 2 s c, in each of next four ch-3 sps. Repeat from ** across. Break off.

Medallion. To begin, ch 5, join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 8, * d c in ring, ch 5. Repeat from * twice more, ch 5, sl st to 3rd st of ch-8 first made (4 sps). 2nd rnd: Ch 3, skip 1 ch, d c in each of next 4 ch, * ch 5, d c in each of next 5 ch. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-5 with sl st to 3rd st of ch-3 first made. 3rd rnd: Ch 3, d c in each d c, * ch 5, skip 2 ch, s c in next ch, ch 5, d c in each d c. Repeat from * around, ending rnd with ch 2, d c in 3rd st of ch-3 first made. 4th rnd: 4 s c over bar of d c just made, ** s c in each of next 5 d c, 4 s c in next ch-5 loop, ch 3, turn, skip 5 s c, d tr in next s c, * ch 3, d tr in same place. Repeat from * once, ch 3, skip 5 s c, s c in next s c. Ch 1, turn, then make: 2 s c, ch 3, 2 s c in each of next four ch-3 sps; 3 s c in incompleted loop, 7 s c in next loop. Repeat from ** around, ending rnd with 3 s c in incompleted loop. Join. Break off.
