1st row: S c closely along rolled edge of handkerchief. Join with sl st to 1st s c made. 2nd row: Ch 5, * skip 1 s c, d c in next s c, ch 2. Repeat from * across. In corner s c make 2 d c with ch-5 between (this is an increase), ch 2. Repeat from * along edge. Join with sl st to 3rd ch of ch-5 first made. 3rd row: Ch 5, * d c in next d c, ch 2. Repeat from * to corner. In 3rd ch of corner ch-5, make 2 d c with ch-5 between, ch 2. Repeat from * to end of row. Join. 4th and 5th rows: Same as 3rd row. 6th row: * Ch 5, skip next d c (2 sps), tr in next d c, ch 2, skip 1 sp, tr in next d c, ch 5, skip next d c (2 sps), s c in next d c. Repeat from * across. Ch 5, tr in 2nd ch of corner ch-5, ch 2, skip 1 ch, tr in next ch, ch 5, skip next d c, s c in next d c, and continue around as before.
