Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: D c in next d c (sp over sp), ch 2, d c in next d c; continue to make sp over sp across. Ch 5, turn. 3rd row: D c in next d c, d c in next 2 ch, d c in next d c (1 bl); 3 sps, 2 bls, 3 sps. Ch 5, turn. Starting at 4th row, follow chart to top. Repeat entire design for desired length.
EDGING No. 8578B … Ch 35. 1st row: D c in 8th ch from hook, * ch 2, skip 2 ch, d c in next ch. Repeat from * until 9 sps are made, d c in last 3 d c (1 bl). Ch. 5, turn. 2nd row: D c in 4th ch from hook, d c in next ch, d c in next d c (1 bl increased); ch 2, skip 2 d c, d c in next d c, ch 2, d c in next d c (sp over sp); make another sp, (d c in next 2 ch, d c in next d c) twice—2 bls made; 3 sps, 1 bl, 1 sp.
