Join with sl st to 1st s c made. 2nd row: Ch 3, d c in next 8 d c, * ch 1, skip 1 s c, d c in next s c, ch 1, skip 1 s c, d c in next 9 s c. Repeat from * across, making d c, ch 3 and d c at corners and having 1 sp on each side of these 2 d c (3 sps in all at corners). Join last ch-1 to 3rd st of ch-3. 3rd row: Sl st in next 2 d c, ch 3, d c in next 4 d c, * ch 1, skip 1 d c, d c in last d c of same d c-group, ch 1, d c in next d c, ch 1, d c in next d c of next d c-group; ch 1, skip 1 d c, d c in next 5 d c (4 sps and a 5-d c group). Repeat from * across, making corners as follows: 2 sps, ch 1, into next sp make d c, ch 3 and d c; ch 1, d c in next d c; 2 more sps. Continue as before, making other corners to correspond with 1st corner. Join last ch-1 to 3rd st of ch-3. 4th row: Sl st in next d c, ch 3, d c in next 2 d c, * ch 1 and make 3 sps, ch 1, skip 1 d c, d c in next 3 d c. Repeat from * across, making corners as in previous row, having 9 sps at each corner.
