With Ecru, make hairpin lace for desired length. Break off. 1st row: Attach Ecru to 1st loop of one side (taking care to keep twist of loops throughout), s c in each of next 4 loops, * ch 11, s c in each of d c in next ch, ch 1, d c in next ch, ch 3, d c in next 5 loops. Repeat from * across. Break off, turn. 2nd row: Attach Bright Nile Green to 2nd s c of 5-s c group, s c in each of following 2 s c, * ch 2, skip last s c and 1 ch of next ch-11 loop, d c in next ch, ch 1, skip 1 ch, d c in next ch, ch 1, skip 1 ch, same ch as d c just made, ch 1, d c in next ch, ch 1, skip 1 ch, d c in next ch, ch 2 skip last ch of ch-11, s c in each of 3 center s c of next 5-s c group. Repeat from * across. Break off, turn. 3rd row: Hereafter pick up only the back loop of each s c. Attach Ecru to center s c of 3-s c group, * skip next s c, s c in each st across to within 2nd st of ch-3 at tip of scallop; in next s c make: 1 s c, ch 3, 1 s c, ch 3, 1 s c. Then, s c in each st across to within 1st s c of 3-s c group, skip 1 s c, s c in next s c. Repeat from * across. Break off. Attach Ecru at opposite side (taking care to keep twist of loops throughout) and make s c in each loop across, making ch-1 between each s c. Break off.
