Attach Linen. 3rd row: Ch 4, * skip 1 st, d c in next, ch 1. Repeat from * across. (Row of sps.) Ch 4, turn. 4th and 5th rows: Sp over sp. Fasten off, and attach Green. 6th row: Ch 3, * skip 2 sps, and into next sp work a cluster of 3 tr's, ch 5, into next sp work a 3-tr cluster. Repeat from * across. Fasten off, and attach Red. 7th row: * Under ch-5 loop work 1 half d c, 2 d c, 5 tr, 2 d c, 1 half d c. S c in tip of joining of clusters. Repeat from *.
Insertion: Make 1 strip same as edging. Make another strip to 7th row, then when making scallops, join to 1st strip as follows: After 3rd tr, join with sl st to 3rd tr of adjacent scallop of 1st strip.
