Romance in handkerchief edgings

Dainty edgings give a delightfully feminine air to handkerchiefs. Crochet these interesting new designs with J. & P. Coats Tatting Cotton, size 70, or the fine sizes from 50 to 100 of J. & P. Coats or Clark's O.N.T. Mercerized Crochet—either white or any of the lovely pastels. Use Milward's steel crochet hook No. 10, 12 or 14.

   With color, ch 10, join with sl st to form ring, * ch 10, sl st in same place, ch 10, sl st in same place (3 loops formed). Ch 14, join with sl st in center st of last ch-10 loop made, ch 5, sl st in 6th ch of ch-14, repeat from * for desired length. Then ch 10, turn and make s c in 1st loop, * ch 5, s c in next loop, ch 5, s c at joining of next 2 loops. Repeat from * and break off. Attach White and work 8 s c under each ch-5 loop.
