Seat & Bench Cover Pattern
Suggested pattern for Seat and Bench Pillows
For approximate amounts of J. & P. Coats and Clark's O.N.T. Threads necessary for one chair seat cover or one bench cushion cover, see Chair Seat Cover, Bathroom Bench Cover, and Bedroom Bench Cover patterns.
Make a chain slightly longer than length of bench. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across until piece measures length of bench, having an even number of sc on row. Cut off remaining chain. Break off, leaving a 2-inch length of thread. Hereafter pick up back loop only and always work over ends of previous row to conceal thread. 2nd row: Attach thread to back loop of first sc, sc in same place, sc in next sc, * sc at base of next sc (long sc made), make long sc over next sc, sc in next 2 sc. Repeat from * across. Break off. 3rd row: Attach thread to back loop of first sc, make a long sc over first 2 sc, * sc in next 2 sc, long sc over next 2 sc. Repeat from * across. Break off. Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows until piece is same width as bench. Break off. Complete in stitch pattern same as Bathroom Bench Cover pattern.
