Suggested pattern for Edgings
Try these edgings on bathroom, bedroom or kitchen curtains—they add a special custom-made finish. Use J. & P. Coats or Clark's O.N.T. Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Size 30, with Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 10 or J. & P. Coats "Knit-Cro-Sheen" with Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 7.
Make a chain slightly longer than length desired. 1st row: Dc in 8th ch from hook, * ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch. Repeat from * until piece is length desired, having a number of sps divisible by 4 and 3 more at end of row. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: Skip first sp, dc in next sp, ch 4, sc in 4th ch from hook (picot made), dc in same sp, * ch 2, skip next sp, in next sp make dc, picot and dc (picot V st made). Repeat from * across, ending with ch 2, skip 2 ch of turning chain, dc in next ch. Ch 3, turn. 3rd row: Make picot V st in first sp, * ch 2, skip next V st, make picot V st in next sp. Repeat from * across, ending with dc in 3rd ch of turning chain. Ch 1, turn. 4th row: Sc in first dc, * (ch 7, skip next V st, sc in next sp) twice; ch 5, in same sp as last sc make tr, ch 5 and sc. Repeat from * across, ending with sc in top of turning chain. Break off.
