Call them what you like!—they make novel gifts—practical, too!—Heavy crocheted palms to protect hands from fiery heat or icy cold.
At the back yard fireplace, for handling toasting, roasting, or broiling equipment.
For frosty, slippery shakers, for iced drinks—tack musical bells at the wrist, if for cocktail gloves.
Or while moving prosaic pots and pans from the kitchen stove or oven.
With a flannel lining added, they’d be warm enough for outdoor sports wear—sledding, skiing, skating, etc.
