Draw 2 threads ⅜ inch from each edge, turn back ⅛ inch hem and baste. 1st rnd: Attach thread in any corner, ch 3, 10 dc in same place, * skip ⅜ inch, make 13 sc in drawn threads spaced evenly over 1¼ inches, skip ⅜ inch, make 7 dc in next sp. Repeat from * round, making 11 dc in each corner, sl st in top st of ch-3. 2nd rnd: Ch 7, tr in next dc, (ch 2, tr in next dc) 9 times; * ch 4, skip 5 sc, sc in next 3 sc, ch 4, tr in next dc, (ch 2, tr in next dc) 6 times. Repeat from * around, making (tr in next dc, ch 2) 10 times in each corner and ending with ch 4, sl st in 5th st of ch-7. 3rd rnd: Sc in each sp and each tr around, making 3 sc over each ch 4, and 1 sc in center sc of each 3-sc group, sl st in 1st sc. 4th rnd: Sc in joining st, (ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next sc) 11 times; * sc in next sc, skip next sc, sc in next 2 sc, (ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next sc) 8 times. Repeat from * around, making (ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next sc) 12 times for each corner and ending with ch 3, skip next sc, sl st in 1st sc. Break off.
