Suggested pattern for Seat and Bench Pillows
For approximate amounts of J. & P. Coats and Clark's O.N.T. Threads necessary for one chair seat cover or one bench cushion cover, see Chair Seat Cover, Bathroom Bench Cover, and Bedroom Bench Cover patterns.
With "Knit-Cro-Sheen" No. 51 make a chain slightly longer than bench. 1st row: 2 dc in 4th ch from hook (half shell made), * skip 2 ch, sc in next ch, skip 2 ch, 5 dc in next ch (shell made). Repeat from * across, ending with an sc. Drop No. 51. 2nd row: Attach "Knit-Cro-Sheen" No. M.51 to top of turning chain of half shell, sc in same place, sc in back loop of next 2 dc, * sc at base of next sc (long sc), sc in back loop of next 5 dc. Repeat from * across. Draw dropped loop of No. 51 through loop on hook, thus changing threads. Ch 3, turn. 3rd row: 2 dc in same place as first long sc was made, * sc in center sc over shell, 5 dc in same place as next long sc was made. Repeat from * across, ending with sc in last sc. Drop No. 51. 4th row: Draw No. M.51 through top of ch-3 on half shell, sc in same place and work as for 2nd row. Repeat 3rd and 4th rows until piece measures same as Bench. Complete as for Bathroom Bench Cover pattern.
