Materials: Clark's O.N.T. or J. & P. Coats Mercerized Crochet, Size 30, 1 ball White and 1 ball Color 88 Peach or choose J. & P. Coats Pearl Cotton, Size 8. Milward's steel crochet hook No. 5, 6, or 7.

To begin, ch 10, join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 3, 21 d c in ring. Join with sl st in 3rd ch of ch-3. 2nd rnd: Ch 15, * skip 1 d c, 1 tr in next, ch 11. Repeat from * until 10 loops are made. Ch 6, d tr in 4th ch of ch-15 first made. 3rd rnd: Ch 10, * d c in 5th, 6th and 7th ch of next ch-11 loop, ch 7, repeat from * making 2 d c in last loop to complete group. Join with sl st in 3rd ch of ch-10 made. 4th rnd: Ch 9, * s c in 4th ch of ch-7, ch 4, d tr in each of 3 d c with ch-1 between, ch 4, repeat from *. There will be 3 d tr and ch-5 in last group. Join with sl st to 5th ch of ch-9 first made. 5th rnd: * Ch 5, s c in next ch-4 loop, ch 5, s c under ch-1 between 1st and 2nd d tr, ch 5, s c under next ch-1, ch 5, s c in ch-4 loop. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st in 1st ch of ch-5 first made. From 5th to 14th rnds after joining, always sl st to center st of next ch loop. 6th rnd: Ch 6, s c in each ch loop around. Join. 7th rnd: Ch 7, s c in each ch loop around. Join. 8th rnd: Same as 7th rnd. 9th rnd: Ch 8, s c in each ch loop around. Join. 10th rnd: Same as 9th rnd. 11th rnd: Ch 9, s c in each ch loop around. Join. 12th rnd: Same as 11th rnd. 13th rnd: Ch 10, s c in each ch loop around. Join. 14th rnd: Same as 13th rnd. Join. 15th rnd: Attach colored thread in s c, ch 5 (to count as d tr), 3 tr tr in same s c, d tr in same s c, * s c in next loop, ch 10, and s c in each of next 3 loops. In next s c, make 1 d tr, 3 tr tr, 1 d tr. Repeat from * around, completing with s c and ch-10 loop.
