Materials:
J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, 3 balls of Spanish Red
Bone Crochet Hook No. 6
½ yard of felt or any lining material
1¼ yards of ribbon
A circle of cardboard, 6½ inches in diameter
8 bone rings, ¾ inch in diameter

Divide thread into 4 equal parts and use 4 threads throughout.

Starting at center of bottom, ch 4. Join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: 10 sc in ring. 2nd rnd: 2 sc in each sc around (20 sc). 3rd rnd: Sc in each sc around (20 sc). 4th rnd: Same as 2nd rnd (40 sc). 5th to 8th rnds incl: Same as 3rd rnd (40 sc on 8th rnd). 9th rnd: * Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around (60 sc). 10th and 11th rnds: Same as 3rd rnd (60 sc). 12th rnd: * Sc in 9 sc, 2 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around (66 sc). Sl st in next sc. Now work up the side as follows: 1st rnd: Ch 3, 2 dc in same place as sl st, * skip 2 sc, 3 dc in next sc. Repeat from * around.  Join with sl st in top st of starting ch-3. 2nd rnd: Sl st in next dc, ch 3, 2 dc in same place as last sl st, * 3 dc in center st of next 3-dc group. Repeat from * around. Join. Repeat 2nd rnd 12 more times. Break off.

Cover rings by working sc closely over them. Sew rings at equal distances apart along top edge of bag. Slip cardboard circle inside bag and tack to bottom. Line bag with felt or lining material. Cut ribbon in half. Run one piece through rings and sew ends together. Run other piece through rings in the opposite direction and sew ends together.
