Materials:
Chadwick's Red Heart Knitting Worsted, 3 balls (1 oz. balls) of French Rose
Bone Crochet Hook No. 5
½ yard of lining material or felt

Square ... Starting at center, ch 4. Join. 1st rnd: 8 sc in ring. 2nd rnd: * Sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc. Re­peat from * around. 3rd to 12th rnds incl: (Sc in each sc to center sc of 3-sc group, 3 sc in center sc) 4 times, sc in each sc to end of rnd (23 sc between center sc of each corner). At end of 12th rnd, make sc in each sc to center sc of next 3-sc group. Break off. Make another square like this but do not break off. Holding the 2 Squares right sides together and working through both thicknesses on wrong side, make sc in each sc across one side. Break off.

Make 2 more Squares and join them in a similar manner. Holding these 2 joined pieces right sides to­gether, attach yarn in center corner st of one long side. Working through both thicknesses on wrong side, make sc in each sc across, thus joining all 4 Squares. Do not break off. Ch 1, turn. Work is now done on right side (wrong side of work is right side).

Edging ... 1st to 5th rnds incl: (Sc in each sc to cen­ter sc of next 3-sc group, 3 sc in center sc) 4 times; sc in each sc to end of rnd. Sl st in last sc. Break off.

Pin 2 opposite points together for top of Bag. Meas­ure down 3½ inches on each side of top points and mark with pins. Take free point on each side and pin in place at pin marks. With right side facing, attach yarn at fold on lower edge. Working through both thicknesses, make sc in each sc across from fold to pin mark, sc across to fold on opposite side. Break off.

Strap … Ch 50. Join. 1st rnd: Sc in each ch around. 2nd, 3rd and 4th rnds: Sc in each sc around. Sl st in next sc. Break off.

Ring … Wind yarn 4 times around 2 fingers. Working over the circle formed, make 24 sc in ring. Sl st in 1st sc. Break off.

Line Bag and Strap with lining material. Sew Strap to one free point and Ring to opposite point. Draw Strap through Ring.
