"STAR" Crochet Cotton and "GEM" Crochet Cotton are worked with a double strand of thread. "STAR" Pearl Cotton, "PURITAN" Crochet Cotton and "DE LUXE" Crochet Cotton are worked with a single strand of thread.

CENTER MOTIF: With Yellow ch 7, join to form a ring, ch 1 and work 16 s c in ring, join, break thread.

2nd Row—Attach Shaded Pinks ch 4 (counts as part of 1st popcorn st) 4 tr c in same space, slip loop off hook, insert in 4th st of ch, pull loop through, ch 1 to tighten st, * ch 3, skip 1 s c, popcorn st in next st (popcorn st: 5 tr c in same space, drop loop from hook, insert in 1st tr c, pull loop through, ch 1 to tighten st), repeat from * 6 times, ch 3, join in 1st popcorn st, break thread.

3rd Row—Attach White and work 1-7 tr c popcorn st over each loop and having ch 4 between each popcorn st, join, break thread.

4th Row—Attach Green in top of any popcorn st, ** ch 4, * thread over hook twice, insert in same space, pull loop through, thread over and work off 2 loops twice, repeat from * twice, thread over and work off all loops at one time (tr c cluster st), ch 7, thread over hook twice, insert in 5th st from hook, pull loop through, thread over and work off 2 loops twice, * thread over twice, insert in same space, pull loop through, thread over and work off 2 loops twice, repeat from * once, thread over and work off all loops at one time (tr c rice st) sl st in next popcorn st, d c cluster st in same space, ch 5, d c rice st in 4th st from hook, sl st in next popcorn st, repeat from ** all around.

5th Row—Ch 9, * tr c cluster st in 1st st between next cluster and rice sts, ch 5, tr c cluster st in next st, ch 5, tr c in next popcorn st of previous row, ch 5, 2-4 d c cluster sts with ch 5 between in ch between next cluster and rice sts, ch 5, tr c in next popcorn st of previous row, ch 5, repeat from * twice, tr c cluster st in 1st ch between next cluster and rice sts, ch 5, tr c cluster st in next st, ch 5, tr c in next popcorn st of previous row, ch 5, 2-4 d c cluster sts with ch 5 between in ch between next cluster and rice sts, ch 5, join in 4th st of ch, break thread.

6th Row—Attach White in loop before any 2 cluster sts, ch 4, 5 tr c popcorn st in same space, ** ch 2, 2 popcorn sts with ch 2 between in next loop, * ch 2, popcorn st in next loop, repeat from * once, repeat from ** all around ending row to correspond.

7th Row—Sl st to loop, ch 4, popcorn st in same space, ** ch 2, 2 popcorn sts with ch 2 between in next loop, * ch 2, popcorn st in next loop, repeat from * twice, repeat from ** all around ending row to correspond. Continue working in same manner increasing 1 popcorn st at each increasing point until there are 6 single popcorn sts between increasing points, break thread.

Attach Green in center st of loop before the popcorn sts at increasing point, ** ch 4, (counts as part of 1st cluster st) tr c cluster st in same space, ch 7, tr c rice st in 5th st from hook, * skip 1 loop, sl st in center st of next loop, ch 3, d c cluster st in same space, ch 5, d c rice st in 4th st from hook, repeat from * twice, skip 1 loop, sl st in center st of next loop, repeat from ** all around ending row to correspond.

Next Row—Sl st to top of next cluster st, ch 4, tr c cluster st in next st, ** ch 5, tr c cluster st in next st, * ch 3, d c in sl st between next rice and cluster sts, ch 3, 2-4 d c cluster sts with ch 3 between in ch between next cluster and rice sts, repeat from * twice, ch 3, d c in sl st between next rice and cluster sts, ch 3, tr c cluster st in 1 st ch between next cluster and rice sts, repeat from ** all around in same manner ending row to correspond, join, break thread.

Half Motif—Attach Yellow in center loop between any 2-ch 5 loops and work 7 s c in same space, break thread.

Next Row—Attach Shaded Pinks in 2nd cluster st before Yellow s c group, 5 tr c popcorn st in 1st s c, * ch 2, skip 1 s c, popcorn st in next s c, repeat from * twice, skip 2 loops, sl st in next cluster st, break thread. Work 7 more half motives in same manner.

Edge—Attach Green in 1st loop of half motif, 3 s c in same space, ch 3, sl st in last s c for picot, 2 s c in same space, * 3 s c, ch 3 picot, 2 s c in next loop, repeat from * once, 3 s c in each of the next 3 loops, 4 s c, ch 3 picot, 3 s c in next loop, 3 s c in each of the next 3 loops, 3 s c, ch 3 picot, 2 s c in next loop, repeat from 1st * all around ending row to correspond, join, break thread.
