"STAR" Crochet Cotton and "GEM" Crochet Cotton are worked with a double strand of thread. "STAR" Pearl Cotton, "PURITAN" Crochet Cotton and "DE LUXE" Crochet Cotton are worked with a single strand of thread.

CENTER MOTIF: With Yellow ch 7, join to form a ring, ch 1 and work 16 s c in ring, join, break thread.

2nd Row—Attach Shaded Pinks ch 4 (counts as part of 1st popcorn st) 4 tr c in same space, slip loop off hook, insert in 4th st of ch, pull loop through, ch 1 to tighten st, * ch 3, skip 1 s c, popcorn st in next st (popcorn st: 5 tr c in same space, drop loop from hook, insert in 1st tr c, pull loop through, ch 1 to tighten st), repeat from * 6 times, ch 3, join in 1st popcorn st, break thread.

3rd Row—Attach White and work 1-7 tr c popcorn st over each loop and having ch 4 between each popcorn st, join, break thread.

4th Row—Attach Green in top of any popcorn st, ** ch 4, * thread over hook twice, insert in same space, pull loop through, thread over and work off 2 loops twice, repeat from * twice, thread over and work off all loops at one time (tr c cluster st), ch 7, thread over hook twice, insert in 5th st from hook, pull loop through, thread over and work off 2 loops twice, * thread over twice, insert in same space, pull loop through, thread over and work off 2 loops twice, repeat from * once, thread over and work off all loops at one time (tr c rice st) sl st in next popcorn st, d c cluster st in same space, ch 5, d c rice st in 4th st from hook, sl st in next popcorn st, repeat from ** all around.

Continue working in same manner increasing 1 popcorn st at each increasing point until there are 6 single popcorn sts between increasing points, break thread.

Attach Green in center st of loop before the popcorn sts at increasing point, ** ch 4, (counts as part of 1st cluster st) tr c cluster st in same space, ch 7, tr c rice st in 5th st from hook, * skip 1 loop, sl st in center st of next loop, ch 3, d c cluster st in same space, ch 5, d c rice st in 4th st from hook, repeat from * twice, skip 1 loop, sl st in center st of next loop, repeat from ** all around ending row to correspond.
