Flower and Leaf Edge Pattern #15

The edgings shown on these pages were all crocheted of "Silkine" Crochet Cotton in size 50, with a No. 14 steel crochet hook. However, any of the following threads may be used, depending on the use the worker wishes for the finished piece, and the number of hook mentioned is the most practical. With "Silkine" Pearl Cotton No. 3 use a No. 5 hook; with size 5, use a No. 6 hook. With Star Crochet Cord use a No. 5 hook. With "Silkateen-Sansilk" use a No. 8 steel hook. These threads come in many attractive colors and tones, so the edgings may fit in with the existing color scheme. Gem Mercerized Crochet Cotton is also lovely. Gem or De Luxe Ready-Shrunk Mercerized Cotton is appropriate when coarser edgings are desired. With this use a No. 7 hook.
