Join with sl st to 1st s c made. 2nd row: Ch 3 (to count as d c), * skip 2 s c, d c in next s c, ch 5, tr in each of next 3 s c, holding back the last loop of each tr on hook; thread over and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1 to fasten (a cluster made); ch 4, d c in next s c. Repeat from * along row, making a cluster at corners. Join last ch-4 with sl st to 3rd st of ch-3 first made. 3rd row: Sl st in each of next 2 ch of ch-4 loop, s c in same loop, * ch 4, s c in next ch-4 loop, ch 6, s c in next loop. Repeat from * along row, making ch-6 loop over clusters at corners. Join last ch-6 to 1st s c made. 4th row: Sl st in ch-4 loop, ch 4 (to count as tr), tr in same loop, * ch 3, d c in last tr made, 2 tr in same loop. Repeat from * 2 more times, ch 5, s c in next ch-4 loop, ch 5, 2 tr in next ch-4 loop, and continue thus along row, making ch 3, s c and ch 3 in each ch-6 loop at both sides of corners. Join and break off.
