Motif Pattern #8330
Starting at center of ring, wind thread around forefinger 5 times, and s c closely in ring. Join with sl st. 1st row: Ch 4, tr in each of next 3 s c, holding back the last loop of each tr on hook; thread over and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1 tightly (a cluster made); * ch 5, tr in each of next 4 s c, and complete a cluster as before. Repeat from * once more. Ch 4, turn. 2nd row: Complete a cluster at tip of 1st cluster, * ch 5, in next ch-5 sp make 2 clusters with ch-5 between. Repeat from * once more, ch 5, cluster at tip of last cluster. Fasten off. Make 5 more individual rings, joining a ring to each ch-5 sp between clusters, as well as to an adjacent ring while working. With wrong side of rings toward you, attach thread to 4th s c from bottom joining of last of 5 rings, and work as follows: Ch 3, s c at tip of next cluster, ch 5, d c between next 2 clusters, ch 5, skip cluster, s c in each s c to within next cluster, ch 5, skip cluster, d c between clusters, ch 5, s c at tip of next cluster, ch 3, sl st in 4th s c from bottom joining of next ring, turn. Next row: Ch 1, 3 s c in ch-3 sp, s c in next s c, 5 s c in ch-5 sp, s c in d c, 5 s c in next ch-5 sp, s c in each s c to within ch-5 sp, 5 s c in ch-5 sp, s c in d c, 5 s c in next ch-5 sp, s c in s c, 3 s c in next ch-3 sp and continue making s c all along outer edges of rings. Join and break off.
