Materials Required—
AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "STAR" COTTON YARN, Article 75
2-100 yd. Skeins Lavender.
1-100 yd. Skein Black.
Steel Crochet Hook, #00.
2 yds. Fuchsia Sequins or any Color desired.
20 Green Sequins.

Work soles same as #4703. Work one sole Lavender and one sole Black. Place inner sole between the 2 sections and overcast together with Lavender yarn.

UPPER SECTIONS—With Lavender ch 4, 1 s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each remaining st, ch 1 to turn all rows.

2nd Row—Working in back loop of st throughout work in s c, increasing 1 s c at the beginning and end of row.

3rd Row—Increase 1 s c at beginning of row.

4th Row—Increase 1 s c at end of row.

5th Row—Same as 3rd row.

6th, 7th and 8th Rows—Work even.

9th Row—Work across row to within last st, sl st in last st.

10th Row—1 s c in sl st, 1 s c in each remaining st working 2 s c in last st.

11th Row—Increase 1 s c at beginning of row, sl st in last sc.

Repeat the last two rows.

14th Row—Work even.

15th Row—Same as 9th row.

Repeat the 14th and 15th rows twice.

20th Row—Same as 14th row.

21st Row—Sl st in 1st 2 s c, 1 s c in each remaining st.

22nd Row—Sl st in last 2 sts.

23rd Row—1 s c in each of the 1st 9 s c, sl st in next s c, turn.

24th Row—Skip sl st, sl st in next st, 1 s c in each of the next 6 s c, sl st in next 2 sts, ch 1, turn.

25th Row—Sl st in 1st 2 sl sts, 1 s c in each remaining st, 1 s c in 2 sts of 23rd row.

26th Row—Sl st in first and last 2 s c, working 1 s c in each remaining s c (toe end) break yarn.

Work a row of s c across straight edge and toe end of slipper. Work another section in same manner.

Sew upper sections to sole as illustrated, leaving 12 free sts at toe and tack at instep. Trim with sequins as illustrated.
