Join Side Sections by working sc through both thicknesses to form a circle. Attach thread at a joining and work sc in each sc around top edge of circle. Work 10 more rnds of sc. At end of last rnd, sl st in next 2 sc. Break off.

HANDLE ••• Ch 5. Join with sl st. 1st rnd: Sc in each ch around. 2nd rnd: Sc in each sc around. Repeat 2nd rnd until piece measures 30 inches. Break off.

Cover rings by working sc closely over each ring.

DRAWSTRING ••• Make a chain 32 inches long. Then work sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across. Break off.

For bottom lining, cut 2 pieces of cardboard each slightly smaller than Bottom. Cover one side of each piece with felt, place them together and overcast around edge. Cut a strip of felt 7 inches wide and long enough to go around bottom lining (allowing a 1-inch overlap). Seam narrow edges; then sew lower edge to bottom lining. Having joinings of Side Sections at points of Bottom, join lower edge of Side Sections to edge of Bottom by working sc through both thicknesses. Break off. Slip lining inside and whip top edges together. Sew rings at even distances apart along top edge. Run Drawstring through rings and tie in center of a long side. Sew one end of Handle to bottom of bag at one end. Tack again half way up the side and again at top edge. Fasten other end of Handle in same way to other end of bag.
