(4 corners formed). 4th rnd: Ch 4 (to count as 1 tr). * ch 9, skip 1 ch from hook and work in next, 8 sts as follows: 2 s c, 2 d c, 2 tr and 2 d tr. 1 tr in loop of ch-3, ch 5, 1 tr in same loop, and repeat from * 3 more times, omitting last tr and joining ch-5 to ch-4. Break off thread. 4 pyramids formed. 5th rnd: Attach thread to tip of pyramid, * ch 12, 1 d c in 3rd st of ch-5, ch 12, 1 s c to tip of next pyramid, and repeat from * 3 more times, omitting last s c. Join. 6th rnd: * 1 s c in each of next 3 sts, 3 s c in next st, 1 s c in each of next 17 sts, 3 s c in next st, 1 s c in each of next 3 sts, 1 s c to tip of pyramid, and repeat from * around, omitting last s c. Join with sl st. 7th rnd: Ch 3 (to count as 1 d c), * ch 5, skip 4 s c, 1 d c in next s c, ch 3, 1 d c in same s c, ch 6, skip 9 s c, 1 d c in next s c which is directly over the d c, ch 6, skip 9 s c, 1 d c in next s c which is center s c of 3 s c together, ch 3, 1 d c in same s c, ch 5, skip 4 s c, 1 d c in next s c which is directly over tip of pyramid, repeat from * around omitting last d c and joining with s c to ch-3. 8th rnd: * 1 s c in each of next 7 sts, 3 s c in next st which is center st of ch 3, 1 s c in each of next 17 sts, 3 s c in next st, 1 s c in each of next 8 sts, and repeat from * around. Join. 9th rnd: Ch 3 (to count as 1 d c), * ch 8, skip 8 s c, d c in next s c which is center s c of 3-s c together, ch 7, skip 9 s c, 1 tr tr (thread over 4 times) in next s c which is directly over a d c, ch 7, 1 tr tr in same s c, ch 7, skip 9 s c, 1 d c in next s c which is center s c of 3-sc together, ch 8, skip 8 s c, 1 d c in next s c which is directly over a d c, and repeat from * around, omitting last d c. Join with sl st to 3rd st of ch. 10th rnd: Ch 2, 1 s c in each st and 3 s c in each corner st which is 4th s c between 2 tr tr—4 corners in all. 11th rnd: Ch 3, 1 d c in next s c, * ch 1, skip 1 s c, 1 d c in next, and repeat from * around making 2 d c with ch-3 between in each corner s c. Break off thread.
EDGING. Turn a tiny hem and make row of s c over this hem. 2nd row: Ch 5, turn, d c in 3rd s c, * ch 2, skip 2, d c in next and repeat from * across. 3rd row: Ch 5, turn, d c in next d c, * ch 2, d c in next d c and repeat from * across. 4th row: Ch 1, s c in 1st sp, p, s c in same sp and repeat across making 2 s c and p in each sp.
