Materials Required:
AMERICAN THREAD
"AUNT LYDIA'S" HEAVY RUG YARN
5—70 yd. skeins Pink
2—70 yd. skeins Medium Pink
1—70 yd. skein each Old Rose, Buttercup and Black
Aluminum Crochet Hook Size H OR ANY SIZE HOOK WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW

GAUGE: 3 sts = 1 inch

BAG: With Pink, ch 2, 8 s c in 1st st of ch, do not join or turn this or following rounds. Place a marker at beg of each round. 2nd ROUND: 2 s c in each sc. 3rd ROUND: S c in next s c, 2 s c in next s c, repeat from beg all around, 8 inc points. Repeat 3rd round 12 more times having 1 more s c between each inc point—120 sc. 16th ROUND: Work even. 17th ROUND: Working in back loop of sts only 1 sc in each st. NEXT 26 ROUNDS: Work­ing in both loops 1 s c in each st, join at end of last round, cut yarn.

ARMS: With Old Rose, ch 11, 1 sc in 2nd st from hook and in each remaining st of ch, ch 1 to turn all rows. 2nd ROW: 1 sc in each sc. 3rd and 4th ROWS: With Med. Pink repeat 2nd row. 5th and 6th ROWS: With Old Rose repeat 2nd row. Repeat 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th rows 3 times. 19th and 20th ROWS: With Medium Pink repeat 3rd and 4th rows, cut yarn. Work another arm in same manner.

FEET: With Black ch 13, 1 s c in 2nd st from hook and in each remaining st of ch, ch 1 to turn all rows. 2nd ROW: 1 s c in each s c. Repeat 2nd row 10 times, cut yarn. Fold foot section in half. Attach Medium Pink at starting edge, work 6 s c, then work 6 s c on last row—12 s c. Al­ternating Old Rose and Medium Pink work in same manner as arms for 46 rows end­ing with Medium Pink, cut yarn.

HAIR: Cut 44—6 inch strands Buttercup for bangs. Fold two 6 inch strands in half and knot through each of 22 s c of top. Cut remaining yarn into 12 inch strands. Fold one 12 inch strand in half and knot through each remaining s c around top. Open each strand of yarn.

CASING: Join Pink on inside of bag in any st of 3rd round from top, * ch 4, skip 3 s c, sl st in next st of 2nd round from top, ch 4, skip 3 s c, sl st in next st of 3rd round from top, repeat from * all around, join, cut yarn.

DRAWSTRING: (Make 2). With Pink ch 150, working on wrong side of ch, sl st in back loop of 2nd st from hook and in each re­maining st of ch, cut yarn. Lace drawstring through casing starting at one side and lace all around to beg, lace 2nd drawstring on opposite side in same manner. Tie a knot on both ends.

Cut scraps of felt for Eyes, Mouth and Eyebrows as illustrated. Glue in position.

HANDS: Cut 4 sections from Pink felt as illustrated. Sew 2 sections tog. Fill slightly with cotton and sew in place.

FINISHING: Sew arm and feet seams. Fill with cotton and sew in place.
