1—70 yd. skein Brown
Aluminum Crochet Hook Size H OR ANY SIZE HOOK WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW
Kapok or Shredded Foam Rubber for filling

GAUGE: 3 s c = 1 inch

PAW: With Natural ch 3, 2 s c in 2nd st from hook, 2 s c in next st of ch, ch 1 to turn all rows throughout all sections. 2nd  ROW: 1 sc in each sc. 3rd ROW: Working in s c inc 1 s c at beg and end of row, cut yarn. Set aside.

BODY SECTION: With Natural ch 3, 2 s c in 2nd st from hook, 2 s c in next s c. 2nd ROW: Working in s c inc 1 s c at beg of row. 3rd ROW: Inc 1 sc at beg and end of row. Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows once. 6th ROW: Repeat 3rd row. 7th ROW: Inc 1 s c at end of row. 8th ROW: 1 s c in each s c, ch 9, work 1 s c in each s c of paw section. NEXT ROW: 1 s c in each s c and in each st of ch. NEXT 2 ROWS: 1 s c in each sc. 12th ROW: Dec 1 s c at end of row (to dec: pull up a loop in each of 2 sts, yo and work off all loops at one time). 13th and 14th ROWS: Dec 1 st at beg of each row. 15th ROW: Inc 1 sc at beg of row. 16th ROW: Repeat 13th row—25 sc. 17th ROW: Repeat 12th row. 18th ROW: Skip 2 sts, 1 sc in each of next 3 sts, sl st in each of next 3 s c, 1 s c in each remaining st. 19th ROW: 1 s c in each of next 14 s c, dec 1 st, ch 1, turn. 20th ROW: Inc 1 sc at beg of row, and dec 1 s c at end of row. 21st ROW: 1 sc in each st. Repeat last 2 rows once. 24th ROW: Repeat 20th row. 25th ROW: Dec 1 s c at beg of row. 26th ROW: Inc 1 sc at end of row, ch 3, turn. 27th ROW: 3 sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in next st of ch and in each remaining st—19 sc. 28th ROW: Inc 1 sc at end of row. 29th ROW: 1 sc in each st. 30th ROW: Dec 1 s c, 1 s c in each of next 17 s c, sl st in next s c. 31st ROW: Skip sl st, sl st in next s c, 1 sc in each remaining sc. 32nd ROW: Dec 1 s c, 1 s c in each of next 15 s c, sl st in next st. 33rd ROW: Skip 1 st, 1 sc in each of next 16 sc. 34th ROW: 1 s c in each of next 13 s c, sl st in each of next 2 s c. 35th ROW: Skip 1 st, sl st in each of next 2 s c, cut yarn, skip next 3 s c, attach yarn in next s c, 1 s c in each of next 6 s c, sl st in each of next 2 sc. 36th ROW: 2 s c in 1st st, 1 s c in each of next 3 sts, dec in next 2 sts, ch 1, turn. 37th ROW: 1 s c in each st. Repeat last 2 rows once. 40th ROW: 2 s c in 1st s c, 1 s c in each of next 2 s c, dec in next 2 sts, turn. 41st ROW: 1 s c in each s c. Repeat last 2 rows 4 times, cut yarn. Attach yarn in 1st st on opposite side of ch between 1st paw and body section, 1 s c in each of next 7 sts, sl st in next st, cut yarn. Work another section.

EARS: (Make 2). With Brown ch 5, 1 s c in 2nd st from hook and in each remaining st of ch, ch 1 to turn all rows. 2nd ROW: Working in s c inc 1 s c at beg and end of row. 3rd ROW: 1 s c in each sc. 4th ROW: Repeat 2nd row. 5th and 6th ROWS: 1 sc in each sc. 7th ROW: Repeat 2nd row. 8th ROW: 1 s c in each s c. 9th ROW: Dec 1 st at beg and end of row. 10th ROW: 1 sc in each st. NEXT 2 ROWS: Repeat 9th row, cut yarn.

EYES: With Brown ch 2, 4 s c in 2nd st from hook, join, cut yarn.

NOSE: Ch 4, cut yarn leaving a length.

FINISHING: Sew 2 sections tog leaving an opening for filling. Fill with shredded foam rubber or kapok. Sew opening closed. Tack Eyes, Ears, and Nose in position. Em­broider Mouth with 2 long sts. Trim as illustrated.
