Then repeat last rnd until opening is entirely closed. Fasten off, leaving a 6-inch end.

HEAD … Attach color A in last st of Body, ch 3 and work as for Body until piece measures 2 inches in diameter. Work 8 rnds straight. Then dec, stuff and finish same as Body. Fasten off. Thread needle with 6-inch end and make joining of Body and Head more secure. Darn in remainder of end and fasten off.

LEG ... 1st ball: With color B, ch 2. Work as for Body until there are 28 sts on rnd. Work 4 rnds straight. Dec 7 sts evenly on next rnd. Stuff with cotton and continue decreasing until opening is closed. Fasten off B, leaving a 6-inch end. 2nd ball: Attach A in last st, ch 3 and work as for Body until there are 28 sts. Finish as for 1st ball. Fasten off, leaving an end. 3rd and 4th balls: Attaching thread to last st of last ball, work 3rd ball with color B and 4th ball with color A. Make another Leg same as this. Secure joinings between balls and sew Legs in place on to Body.

ARMS … Work as for Legs, having 1st ball of color A, 2nd of color B and 3rd of color A. Secure joinings between balls and sew Arms in place. With color B embroider features on Head, using back stitch.

CORD ... Cut 4 strands of color B each 2 yards long. Twist tightly, then double the twisted strands and give them a second twist in the opposite direction. Knot loose ends and trim. Tie ends of Cord in a bow, leaving a large loop between. Sew bow securely to top of Head.
