MATERIALS—DAISY Mercerized Crochet Cotton size 30:—1-ball each White and Lt. Blue. 1-skein Lily Six Strand Floss in Orange. Crochet hook size 13. Size—12".

CENTER—In White, ch 7, sl st in 1st st. Ch 3, 15 dc in ring, sl st in 1st ch-3. ROW 2—Ch 3, dc in same st, (ch 3, sk 1 dc, 2 dc in next dc) 7 times, ch 3, sl st in 1st ch-3. ROW 3—Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in next dc, * ch 4, (2 dc in next dc) twice. Repeat from * around. Ch 4, sl st in 1st ch-3. ROW 4—Ch 3, dc in same st, (dc in each dc across group with 2 dc in end dc, ch 4, 2 dc in 1st dc in next group) repeated around and join (6 dc in each group). Repeat Row 4 twice (10 dc in each group in final row). ROW 7—Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in next dc, (1 dc in each dc across group with 2 dc in each of 2 end dc, ch 3, 2 dc in each of 1st 2 dc in next group) repeated around and join to 1st ch-3 (14 dc in each group). ROW 8—Repeat last row but with only ch-2 between groups (18 dc in each group). ROW 9—Repeat Row 7 but with only ch-1 between groups (22 dc in each group). ROW 10—Ch 3, dc in each dc around with 1 dc between groups. ROW 11—Ch 3, dc in next 21 dc, * (dc, ch 12, dc) in next dc between groups, dc in next 22 dc. Repeat from * around. Sl st in 1st ch-3. ROW 15—Ch 3, (dc in next 2 dc) made into a Cluster, * dc in next 3 dc, (dc in next 3 dc) made into a Cluster, dc in next 4 dc, (dc in next 3 dc) made into a Cluster, ch 11, dtr in 3d sc on next lp, (ch 8, sk 3 sc, dtr in next sc) 3 times, ch 11, (dc in 1st 3 dc in next group) made into a Cluster. ROW 17—Ch 3, (dc in next 4 dc) made into a Cluster, * ch 13, sk 10 sc, tr in next sc, (ch 13, sk 9 sc, dtr in next sc) twice, ch 13, sk 9 sc, tr in next sc, ch 13, (dc in next 5 dc) made into a Cluster. Repeat from * around. Sl st in 1st Cluster. ROW 18—Ch 2, * sk 3 sts of next lp, 12 sc over bal. of lp, (15 sc in next lp) 3 times, 12 sc in next lp. Repeat from * around. Sl st in 1st sc. Fasten off.

To join Flower Row to edge of Center, work around from left to right:—FLOWER—In Blue, ch 7, sl st in 1st st, (ch 11, sk 3 ch, 2 dc, 5 tr and 1 dc in bal. of ch, sc in ring) 4 times. Join to Center by next 2 petals:—Ch 9, sl st in center of 1st sp on one scallop of last row, sk last st of ch-9, (2 dc, 5 tr and 1 dc) in bal. of ch, sc in ring. Join next petal in same way to 1st sp up side of next scallop to right, around edge. Fasten off. 2d FLOWER—Make 3 petals, then join 4th petal to right-hand side petal; of last Flower, * join 5th petal to center of next sp to right around edge, and join 6th petal to 5th sc in next (center) sp to right around edge. 3d FLOWER—Repeat 2d Flower to *. Join 5th petal to next 6th sc on same center sp, and join 6th petal to center sc on next sp to right around edge. 4th Flower—Repeat 2d Flower to *. Join 5th petal to center of next (end) sp on same scallop, and join 6th petal to center of 1st sp on next scallop. Repeat 2d, 3d and 4th FLOWERS around doily (24 Flowers).

EDGE—Sc in White in 1st of 2 outside petals on one flower, (ch 15, sc in next petal of same flower, ch 15, sc in 1st petal on next flower) repeated around. End with ch 8, dtr in 1st sc. ROW 2—* Ch 6, tr tr in center st of next lp, (ch 6, sc in 5th ch from hook for a p, ch 2, tr tr in same st with last tr tr) 6 times, ch 6, sc in next lp. Repeat from * around. Fasten off.

In Orange Floss, make 6 large French Knots in center of each Flower. Stretch and pin doily right-side-down in a true circle. Steam and press dry thru a cloth.
