Decorative Edging Pattern #8510
MATERIALS:
Try color for these lovely edgings! On collars and cuffs, on guest towels or linens a gay note is new and smart. We suggest thread in sizes 10 to 50.
Easy to tack, sew or glue – these crisp edgings add finish to lamps, dressing tables or scrap baskets. Adapted to fashions, too!
1st row: Ch 6; in 6th ch from hook make three 3-tr clusters with ch-3 between—to make a cluster, make 3 tr in same st, holding back the last loop of each tr on hook; thread over and draw through all loops on hook—tr in same place as clusters were made. Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: S c in 1st sp between clusters, ch 5, s c in 2nd sp between clusters, ch 2, d c between last cluster and turning ch. Ch 5, turn. 3rd row: In center loop make 3 clusters with ch-3 between; tr in last loop. Ch 5, turn. Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows alternately for desired length. Do not break off, but work ch-5 loops along one long side. Fasten off. Attach thread to 1st sp on opposite side and work across in same manner.
