Decorative Edging Pattern #8565

Try color for these lovely edgings! On collars and cuffs, on guest towels or linens a gay note is new and smart. We suggest thread in sizes 10 to 50.
Easy to tack, sew or glue – these crisp edgings add finish to lamps, dressing tables or scrap baskets. Adapted to fashions, too!
1st row: Ch 5, 2 tr in 5th ch from hook, holding back the last loop of each tr on hook; thread over and draw through all loops on hook (a cluster), ch 3, tr in same place as cluster was made. Ch 4, turn. 2nd row: 2 tr in tr at base of ch-4, holding back the last loop of each tr on hook, and complete a cluster as before; ch 3, tr in same place as cluster was made. Ch 4, turn. Repeat the 2nd row for desired length. Do not break off, but ch 3 and work along one long side as follows:
1st row: * 3 clusters with ch-3 between in next ch-3 sp; ch 3, s c in outer bar of next cluster, ch 3, skip next tr-bar. Repeat from * across. Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: * S c in 1st sp between clusters, ch 5, s c in next sp, ch 5, s c in next sp, s c in next sp, ch 5. Repeat from * across. Fasten off.
HEADING … Attach thread to top bar of 1st cluster, * ch 9, s c in top bar of next cluster. Repeat from * across. Fasten off.
