FIRST MOTIF … Ch 3, join with sl st. 1st rnd: Ch 3, 11 d c in ring. Join in top of ch-3.2nd rnd: * Ch 5, skip 2 d c, s c in next d c. Repeat from * 3 more times. 3rd rnd: ** S c in next sp, * ch 3, 3 d c in same sp. Repeat from * once more, ch 3, s c in same sp. Repeat from ** 3 more times; sl st into 1st s c of rnd. Fasten off.
SECOND MOTIF …Work 1st 2 rnds as for 1st motif. 3rd rnd: S c in next sp, ch 3, 3 d c in same sp, ch 1, pick up 1st motif, sl st into 2nd ch of ch-3 in center of any point, ch 1, 3 d c in same sp on 2nd motif, ch 3, s c in same sp; * s c in next sp, ch 3, 3 d c in same sp, ch 3, 3 d c in same sp, ch 3, s c in same sp. Repeat from * twice more; sl st into 1st s c of rnd. Fasten off.
Make necessary motifs for desired length, joining as 2nd motif was joined to 1st.
HEADING … 1st row: With wrong side toward you, attach thread to top of ch-3 at beginning of 1st free shell before a joining, * ch 5, s c into sp, ch 5, tr in top ch of next ch-3 of same shell; tr in top ch of 1st ch-3 of next free shell. Repeat from * across, ending with d c in top of ch-3 at end of first free shell after a joining. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: Make s c in each st across.
