FIRST PLANTER JAR
1ST ROUND: Starting at bottom of holder, with a single strand of Double Quick or a double strand of Bedspread Cotton ch 4, join with a sl st in first st of chain to form a ring, ch 1, work 12 sc into ring, join with a sl st in first sc.
2ND ROUND: Do not turn in this or following rounds, ch 1, 2 sc in same st as last sl st and in each sc around, join with a sl st in first sc.
There are 24 sc in last round.
3RD ROUND: Ch 1, 1 sc in same st as last sl st, 1 sc in each of next 2 sc, * 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc; repeat from * around, end with 2 sc in last sc, join with a sl st in first sc.

FINISHING: Fill bottom slightly with polyester filling or any desired filling. Thread length of cotton into a darning needle and sew to 5th round of Holder as Illustrated.
