Single Size Spread – 72 x 108 inches – 40 balls of No. 1 White and 42 balls of No. 46-A Mid Rose.
Double Size Spread – 90 x 108 inches – 50 balls of No. 1 White and 52 balls of No. 46-A Mid Rose.
Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 2/0 (double zero).
A hairpin lace staple, ½ inch wide.
GAUGE: Each completed strip is 1 inch wide and requires 50 yards each of White and Mid Rose.
STRIP … With White, make a strip of hairpin lace 120 inches long, having the same amount of loops on each side of strip.
EDGING … Attach Mid Rose to center of hairpin lace, sc in same place, ch 1, keeping all loops straight, * sc in next loop, ch 1. Repeat from * across, sc in center of hairpin lace, ch 1, and work along other side the same way. Join and break off.
Make 72 strips for a Single Size Spread and 90 strips for a Double Size Spread, being careful to have the same amount of loops on each strip. Sew strips together with White, making an overcast st into ch-1 sps across each side and leaving 3 sc free at each rounded end.
Block to measurements.
