Single Size Spread – 72 x 108 inches – 50 balls of No. 46-A Mid Rose and 55 balls of No. 61-D Nu-Ecru.

Double Size Spread – 90 x 108 inches – 60 balls of No. 46-A Mid Rose and 65 balls of No. 61-D Nu-Ecru.

Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 2/0 (double zero).

GAUGE: Each motif measures 4½ inches square and requires 13 yards of Mid Rose and 14 yards of Nu-Ecru.

Starting at center with Mid Rose, ch 5. Join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: 12 sc in ring. Join. 2nd rnd: Drop Mid Rose, attach Nu-Ecru to same place as sl st, ch 3, dc in same place, 2 dc in each sc around (24 dc). Join. 3rd rnd: Sc in same place as sl st, * ch 3, skip 1 dc, sc in next dc. Repeat from * around (12 loops). Join. 4th rnd: Drop Nu-Ecru, pick up Mid Rose, sl st in next loop, ch 3, holding back on hook the last loop of each dc, make 2 dc in same loop, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made), ch 5, make a 3-dc cluster in same loop, * (ch 3, cluster in next loop) twice; ch 3, in next loop make cluster, ch 5 and cluster. Repeat from * around. Join. 5th rnd: Drop Mid Rose, pick up Nu-Ecru, sl st in next loop, make 5 sc in same loop, * 3 sc in each of next 3 sps, 5 sc in next loop. Repeat from * around. Join. 6th rnd: Drop Nu-Ecru, pick up Mid Rose, sc in same place as sl st, * ch 1, skip 1 sc, in next sc make sc, ch 1 and sc; (ch 1, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc) 6 times. Repeat from * around. Join. 7th, 8th and 9th rnds: Change color, sl st in next sp, sc in same sp, ch 1, in next sp make sc, ch 1 and sc; * ch 1, sc in next sp. Repeat from * around, making sc, ch 1 and sc in each corner sp and having 1 more sc between corners on each rnd. Join. Break off at end of 9th rnd (9 sc between corners on 9th rnd).

For Single Size Spread, make 16 rows of 24 motifs. For Double Size Spread, make 20 rows of 24 motifs. Sew motifs neatly together. Block to measurements.
