Materials suggested: American Thread Company "Silkine," "Star" or "Gem" Mercerized Crochet Cotton size 30 to 50, White or Colors. "Silkine" Tatting Cotton, White or Colors.
1st Row. Ch 26, tr c in 10th st from hook, * ch 3, skip 3 sts, tr c in next st, repeat from * 3 times, ch 7, turn.
2nd Row. 2 open meshes, 4 tr c in next space, 1 tr c in tr c, 2 open meshes, ch 7, turn.
3rd Row. 1 o m, 1 s m, thread over needle twice, insert needle in last tr c of group and work tr c, ch 3, thread over needle twice, insert needle in first tr c of same group and work tr c, this forms a cross, tr c in last tr c of group, 1 s m, 1 o m.
4th Row. Same as 2nd row and repeat from beginning for desired length. When completed, across both edges work a row of s c and 1 row of double crochet open meshes.
