Useful edgings with endless application. Ranging from airy daintiness for light, delicate work to dignified distinction for more formal pieces, they provide a noteworthy finish to clothes and household linens alike. Materials suggested: American Thread Company "Silkine", "Star" or "Gem" Mercerized Crochet Cotton sizes 20 to 50. "Silkine" or Star Pearl Cotton size 5, "De Luxe" Crochet and Knitting Cotton.
Ch 9, sl st in first st to form a ring, * ch 4, 2 s c into ring, repeat from * 3 times, ** ch 13, slip hook out of loop, insert in 5th st of ch pick up loop and pull through, * ch 4, 2 d c in ring, repeat from * 3 times and repeat from ** for length required.
2nd Row. Ch 4, 2 s c in last flower ring, repeat from beginning 3 times, ** ch 2, sl st over ch between flowers, ch 2, 2 s c in next flower ring, * ch 4, 2 s c in ring, repeat from * twice, repeat from ** to end of row, break thread.
3rd Row. Return to beginning of last row and join to 2nd from last 4 ch loop of first flower, * ch 7, sl st in fifth st for picot, ch 9, p, ch 3, 1 s c in center of 4 ch picot of next flower, repeat from * to end of row.
4th Row. Ch 7, p, * ch 9, p, repeat from *, ch 2, turn, 1 s c in last loop of last row, * ch 7, p, ch 9, p, ch 2, 1 s c in next loop, repeat from * to end of row.
5th Row. Ch 5, p, ch 12, turn, 1 d c in last loop of last row, * ch 8, 1 d c in next loop, repeat from * to end of row.
