Materials suggested: American Thread Company "Silkine", "Star" or "Gem" Mercerized Crochet Cotton sizes 20 to 50. "Silkine" or Star Pearl Cotton size 5, "De Luxe" Crochet and Knitting Cotton.
EDGING. 1st row same as insertion No. 753.
2nd Row. Ch 3, * puff st in 5 ch loop (puff st, thread over, insert in loop, pull up the length of a d c, * thread over, insert in same loop, pull up same length, repeat from * twice, thread over, pull through all loops but one, thread over and work off 2 loops). Ch 3, 1 d c in next 5 ch loop on side of 1st row, ch 3, repeat from * ending with a d c.
3rd Row. Ch 7, s c in next d c repeat across row.
4th Row. 8 s c over 1st loop, 4 s c over next loop, * ch 7, turn, sl st in center of last scallop made, ch 1, turn, 4 s c, p, 4 s c over loop, sl st in top of 4th s c in unfinished scallop and work 4 s c over unfinished scallop, 8 s c over each of the next 2 loops, 4 s c in next loop, repeat from * for entire length.
