Small Ball:
J. & P. Coats—2 balls of White or Ecru, or 3 balls of any color,
or
Clark's O.N.T.—4 balls of White, Ecru or any color.
Big Ball:
J. & P. Coats—1 ball of White or Ecru.
Steel Crochet Hook No. 10 or 11.

Doily measures 16 inches in diameter.

GAUGE: 4 sps make 1 inch; 4 rows make 1 inch.

   Starting at bottom of chart, ch 67. 1st row: Tr in 11th ch from hook, * ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next ch. Repeat from * across (15 sps). Ch 18, turn. 2nd row: Tr in 11th ch from hook, ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next ch, ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next tr (3 sps increased); (ch 3, tr in next tr) 14 times; ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next ch, ch 7, tr in same place as last tr (1 sp increased); (turn, ch 7, skip 3 sts of 1st ch-7, tr in next ch) twice (2 more sps increased); sl st across last 3 ch. Ch 18, turn. 3rd row: Tr in 11th ch from hook, ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next ch, ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next tr, ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in same place as last sl st, ch 3, tr in top of next tr, ch 3, tr in base of same tr, (ch 3, tr in next tr) 18 times; ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next ch, ch 7, tr in same place as last tr, (turn, ch 7, skip 3 sts of 1st ch-7, tr in next ch) twice (3 sps increased at each end); sl st across last 3 ch. Ch 10, turn. 15th row: 4 sps, 3 bls, 11 sps, 3 bls, 2 sps, 3 bls, 3 sps, 1 bl, 1 sp, ch 1, skip 1 ch, tr in next ch, ch 1, tr in next tr (1 shadow sp made); make 2 more shadow sps, 1 sp, 1 bl, 3 shadow sps, 8 sps, 3 bls, 4 sps.
