Milward's steel crochet hook No. 5 or 6.
A bone ring, 1 inch in diameter.

Starting at ring, make 14 s c in ring. Ch 17, make 9 s c in ring, ch 17, 9 s c in ring, ch 17, 5 s c in ring, turn. * Ch 2, skip 2 ch of ch-17, d c in next ch, ch 2, skip 2 ch, d c in next ch, ch 2, skip 2 ch, d c in next ch, ch 5, d c in same place as last d c, ch 2, skip 2 ch, d c in next ch, ch 2, skip 2 ch, d c in next ch, ch 2, skip 4 s c, s c in next s c. Repeat from * until 3 petals are made. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: Make 2 s c in 1st sp, ch 3, s c in same sp, ** s c in next sp, ch 3, s c in same sp, s c in next sp, ch 3, s c in same sp, in next (corner) sp make: s c, ch 3, 2 s c, ch 3, 2 s c, ch 3, s c. S c in next sp, ch 3, s c in same sp, s c in next sp, ch 3, s c in same sp, s c in next sp (this is 1st sp of next petal). Repeat from ** across, ending with s c, ch 3, 2 s c in last sp of last petal. Then make 10 s c to complete ring.

Cord. Make a chain to measure about 20 inches long, turn, and make sl st in each ch. Double cord and fasten end under ring.
