1 ball Sock wool 3 fold (1 oz. ball) Light color
1 ball Sock wool 3 fold (1 oz. ball) Dark color
1 bone crochet hook Size 3

GAUGE: 6 sts. = 1 inch

PATTERN:
   S.c. picking up back loop only with ch. 1, to turn.
   Starting on side of Back of Hand ch. 50. 1st row: 49 s.c. 2nd row: Work in pattern and increase 1 st. in last st. (to increase put 2 s.c. in 1 st.). 3rd row: incr. 1 st. in first st. 4th row: decr. 1 st. at end of row (to decrease: draw up a loop in each of the next 2 sts. and work off as 1 st.). 5th row: decr. 1 st. at beg. of row. 6th row: Work only over 35 sts., leaving the remaining 14 sts. for Little Finger. Ch. 17 for Ringfinger: 1st row: work even. 2nd row: incr. 1 st. in last st. 3rd row: incr. 1 st. in first st. 4th row: decr. 1 st. at end of row. 5th row: decr. 1 st. at beg. of row. 6th row: work only over 35 sts. leaving the remaining 16 sts. and ch. 21 for Middlefinger. Work 6 rows like on Ringfinger and ch. 17 for Forefinger. 1st row: work even. 2nd row: incr. 1 st. in last st. 3rd row: incr. 1 st. in first st. and work to within the last 12 sts., ch. 1, turn. 4th row: decr. 1 st. at end of row. 5th row: decr. 1 st at beg. of row (work the last 12 sts. again). 6th row: Work over 24 sts. and ch. 14 for Thumb. 1st row: work even. 2nd row: incr. 1 st. in last st. 3rd row: incr. 1 st. in first st. 4th row: work even. 5th row: work to within 10 sts., turn. 6th row: decr. 1 st. at end of row. 7th row: decr. 1 st. at beg. of row (work the last 10 sts. again). Palm of Hand: With contrasting color work the same way until xx on back of hand. 1st row: work even. 2nd row: incr. 1 st. at end of row. 3rd row: incr. 1 st. at beg. of row and work to within 12 sts., break yarn and fasten off. 4th row: turn, do not work over first 12 sts., attach yarn and work over remaining 33 sts. and decr. 1 st. at end of row. 5th row: decr. 1 st. at beg. of row and work to end and ch, 14 for thumb. 6th row: work over 13 s.c. on the thumb ch. 1 s.c. in each of the next 11 sts. (leave the remaining 20 sts.) and ch. 17 for Forefinger. 1st row: incr. 1 st. at end of row. 2nd row: incr. 1 st. at beg. and end of row. 3rd row: incr. 1 st. at beg. of row and decr. 1 st. at end of row. 4th row: decr. 1 st. at beg. and end of row. 5th row: decr. 1 st. at beg. of row. Fasten off. Steam both pieces lightly and sew gloves tog. on wrong side. Make other glove to correspond.
