Coats—2 balls of White, Ecru or Cream … Steel Crochet Hook No. 10.

Chair Back measures 14½ x 18½ inches; each Arm Piece 10½ x 14½ inches.

CHAIR BACK … Make 3 rows of 5 motifs as for Pineapple Tablecloth Pattern No. 7859, joining motifs and making fill-in laces to correspond.

BORDER … Complete as for Pineapple Tablecloth Pattern No. 7859.

ARM PIECE (Make 2) … Make 3 motifs as for Pineapple Tablecloth Pattern No. 7859, joining them to form a single row.

BORDER … Make 3 corner pineapples on end motif as for Pineapple Tablecloth Pattern No. 7859. Then repeat the Second and Third Corner pineapples once more (5 pineapples on end motif). Make a Side Pineapple over next motif (as for Pineapple Tablecloth Pattern No. 7859), then work 5 pineapples over other end motif as before and a Side Pineapple over remaining side of center motif, taking care to join both sides of last pineapple.

EDGING … 1st rnd: Attach thread to first free loop of Third Pineapple at one end and, following directions for Border Pineapple Tablecloth Pattern No. 7859, work to same position at other end, then complete rnd to correspond with opposite side. Join. Complete edging (as established) to correspond with Pineapple Tablecloth Pattern No. 7859.
