Materials Required—AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "SILLATEEN SANSIL"

2–60 Yd. Balls White or Colors.
Steel Crochet Hook No. 10 or 11.
Doily measures about 7 inches.

1st Row. Ch 6, join to form a ring, ch 5, d c into ring, * ch 3, d c in ring, repeat from * 3 times, ch 3, join to 3rd st of ch 5.

2nd Row. Slip st in loop, ch 3, d c in same place * ch 5, 2 d c in next loop, repeat from * 4 times, ch 5, join.

3rd Row. Slip st to center st of next loop, ch 14, sl st in same place, * ch 7, slip st in center st of next loop, ch 14, slip st in same place and repeat from * all around, ch 7, join.

4th Row. Slip st in 1st ch, ch 3, 1 d c in each of the next 6 chs, ch 5, 1 d c in each of the next 7 chs of same loop, sl st in center st of next loop and repeat all around (having 7 d c on each side of loop).

5th Row. Slip st to 4th d c, ch 8, * s c in loop, ch 5, s c in same loop, ch 6, skip 3 d c, 1 d c in next d c, ch 6, d c in center st of next group of d c, ch 6, repeat from * all around, join in 3rd st of ch.

6th Row. Slip st into loop, ch 3, 6 d c in same loop, * d c in 5 ch loop, ch 3, d c in same place, 7 d c in each of the next 3 loops, repeat from * all around, join and break thread.

7th Row. ** Ch 6, sl st in 3 ch loop, ch 3, turn, 6 d c on ch, ch 3, turn, 1 d c in each d c taking back loop of st only, * ch 6, sl st in between next two 7 d c groups, ch 3, turn, 6 d c on ch, ch 3, turn, 1 d c in each d c picking up back loop of st only and repeat from * then repeat from ** all around, join in 1st st of ch.

8th Row. Sl st to point, * ch 9, sl st in next point, repeat from * all around.

9th Row. Ch 3, 1 d c in each ch, d c in each point, repeat all around.

10th Row. Sl st to 2nd d c, ch 3, 1 d c in each of next 6 d c, * ch 9, skip 3 d c, 1 d c in each of the next 7 d c, repeat from * all around, there are 18–7 d c groups, ch 9, join.

11th Row. Sl st to 3rd d c, ch 3, d c in next d c, d c in same place, d c in next d c, * ch 6, s c in loop, ch 6, d c in 3rd d c, 2 d c in next d c, d c in next d c, repeat from * all around, ch 6, s c in loop, ch 6, join.

12th Row. Sl st to center of loop, ch 11, d c in next loop, * ch 8, d c in next loop, repeat from * all around, join in 3rd st of ch.

13th Row. Sl st to ch, ch 3, 1 d c in each ch, * skip the d c, 1 d c in each of the next 8 chs, repeat from * all around.

14th Row. Sl st to next d c, ch 3, 1 d c in each of the next 5 d c, * ch 5, skip 2 d c, 1 d c in each of the next 6 d c, repeat from * all around, join (there are 36 of 6 d c groups).

15th Row. Sl st to next d c, ch 3, 1 d c in each of the next 3 d c, * ch 5, s c in loop, ch 5, skip 1 d c, 1 d c in each of the next 4 d c, repeat from * all around, ch 5, s c in next loop, ch 5, join.

16th Row. Sl st to next d c, * ch 5, s c in next loop, ch 5, s c in next loop, ch 5, s c in center st of next d c group, repeat from * all around.
