In joining motifs together, join the 4 p on the side of 2nd motif with the 4 p on the side of 1st motif, arranging the motifs as follows: starting at corner 1st row, 1 motif, 2nd row, 3 motifs, 3rd row, 5 motifs, 4th row, 7 motifs, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th rows, 9 motifs, then decrease, 10th row, 7 motifs and so on until 1 motif remains.

To make dutch bonnet, tack in back at lower corners. Form a turnback 1 inch wide at top and about 2½ inches at lower corners. Trim with ribbon rosettes placed in back of the fold.
