Steel Crochet Hook No. 12 or 13.

Each complete Doily measures about 9 inches.

Small Motif.

Ch 6, join to form a ring.

2nd Row. Ch 6, d c in ring, * ch 3, d c in ring, repeat from * 5 times, ch 3, join in 4th st of ch.

3rd Row. Ch 4, 2 tr c in same space, * ch 3, 3 tr c in next d c, repeat from * all around, ch 3, join.

4th Row. Ch 4, 2 tr c in center tr c, tr c in next tr c, * ch 5, tr c in 1st tr c of next group, 2 tr c in next tr c, 1 tr c in next tr c, repeat from * all around, ch 4, join.

5th Row. Ch 1, 1 s c in each tr c and 3 s c in next ch, ch 5, sl st in s c just made, ch 8, turn, sl st in loop, ch 8, sl st in same space, ch 8, sl st in same s c as other sl sts, ch 1, turn, 1 s c, 7 d c, 1 s c over each loop, sl st in same s c as other sl sts, 2 s c over remainder of ch, * 1 s c in each tr c, 3 s c over ch, ch 5, sl st in s c just made, ch 8, turn, sl st in loop, ch 8, sl st in same loop, ch 8, sl st in same s c as other sl st, ch 1, turn, 1 s c, 3 d c over loop, ch 1, join to corresponding st in last clover leaf made, ch 1, sl st in last cl c made, 4 d c, 1 s c in remainder of loop and finish clover leaf same as last clover leaf, 2 s c over remainder of chain and repeat from * all around joining last clover leaf to 1st clover leaf.

2nd Small Motif. Work 1st 4 rows and 6 clover leaves.

7th Clover Leaf. Join to last clover leaf made and to center clover leaf of 1st small motif.

8th Clover Leaf. Join to last clover leaf made and to next clover leaf of 1st motif and complete motif. Work 6 more motifs, joining them in same manner leaving 1 clover leaf on inside of circle free.

Large Motif.

Ch 8, join to form a ring.

2nd Row. Ch 3, 15 d c in ring, join.

3rd Row. Ch 6, tr c in next d c, * ch 3, tr c in next d c, repeat from * all around, ch 3, join in 4th st of ch. (16 meshes.)

4th Row. Ch 9, 1 tr c in next tr c, * ch 5, 1 tr c in next tr c, repeat from * all around, ch 5, join.

5th Row. Ch 4, tr c in same space, * ch 5, 2 tr c in next tr c, repeat from * all around, ch 5, join.

6th Row. 1 s c between tr c, 2 d c, 3 tr c, 2 d c in 5 ch loop, repeat from beginning all around.

7th Row. Sl st to center of petal, * ch 9, sl st in center of next petal, repeat from * all around.
