2–400 Yd. Balls White or any Color desired will make a set of 4 Doilies.
Steel Crochet Hook No. 6 or 7.

Each Doily measures about 15 x 17 inches.

Ch 29, work 1 d c in 5th st from hook, then work 1 d c in each remaining st.

2nd Row. Ch 3, turn and work 1 d c in each d c.

3rd Row. Ch 9, s c between rows of d c, ch 9, s c in corner, * ch 9, skip 4 d c, s c in next d c, repeat from * 4 times, ch 9, s c between rows of d c, ch 9, s c in corner, * ch 9, skip 4 d c, s c in next d c, repeat from * 3 times, ch 9, join.

Do not slip st to loop, ch 9, tr c in tr c, ch 4, tr c in next tr c, ch 4, tr c in loop, ch 4, tr c in same loop, * ch 4, tr c in next tr c, repeat from * twice, (scallop) ** ch 5, skip one loop, s c in next loop, * ch 9, s c in next loop, repeat from * 5 times, ch 5, skip next loop, * tr c in next tr c and complete scallop same as 1st scallop. Complete row in same manner always skipping loop before and after scallop.

Finishing. Starch lightly, shape in position, (pin if necessary) and iron while still damp.
