MATERIALS—Lily Rug Yarn, Art. 241. Crochet hook size H-6.

"A"—FOUR LEAF CLOVER HOLDER—MATERIALS—18-yds. Lt. Green and 16-yds. Emerald Green.

In Lt. Green, ch 6; 2 sc in 2d st, 1 hdc in next, 2 dc in next, 1 hdc in next, 3 sc in end st, (1 hdc, a 2-dc-widening, 1 hdc and 1 sc) on other side of ch, sl st in 1st sc. ROW 2—Ch 1, 1 sc in same st, sc in 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st, (3 dc in next) twice, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 hdc, (3 dc in next st) twice, 2 hdc in next st, sc in 3 sts, sl st in 1-ch. Fasten off. ROW 3—In back loops, join Emerald Green with sl st in sc at center of other end, 1 sc in next st, (2 hdc in next) 5 times, 6 sc, (sc, hdc, sc) in next st, 6 sc, (2 hdc in next st) 5 times, 1 sc in next, a long sl st over next sl st, inserting hook down between Rows 1 and 2. Fasten off. Make 4 and sew together thru 1 loop of each st. STEM—In Emerald Green, ch 9, sk last st, (1 sc in next, 2 sc in next) 4 times. Fasten off. Sew between 2 sections of leaf. Steam and press on back. Line back.

"B"—FLOWER HOLDER—MATERIALS—8-yds. Cream, 15-yds. Salmon Rose and 14-yds. Red (or other colors). 1-bone ring.

CENTER—In Cream, ch 2, 6 sc in 1st st, join and fas­ten off. ROW 2—Join Salmon Rose, ch 2, 2 hdc in same st, (2 hdc in next st, 3 hdc in next) twice, 2 hdc in next st, sl st in 2-ch. Fasten off. ROW 3—Join Red, (ch 1, sl st in next st) repeated around. Fasten off.

PETAL—In Cream, ch 6, sk 1 st, 4 sc on ch, 5 sc in end st, 4 sc on other side of ch. Fasten off. ROW 2—Turn, in Salmon Rose, sc in 4 sts, 2 hdc in next st, (3 hdc in next) 3 times, 2 hdc in next, sc in 4 sts. Fasten off. ROW 3—Turn and repeat Row 3 of Center. Make 6. Tack together. Gather base of petals and sew under edge of Center.

Steam and press holder on back. Line and sew hone ring to one corner.

"C"—BOUQUET HOLDER—MATERIALS—26-yds. Salmon Rose, 10-yds. Lt. Green, 12-yds. Dk. Green and 2-yds. Red (or other colors). 1-bone ring.

In Salmon Rose, ch 20, 19 sc on ch. (Ch 1, turn, 19 sc) repeated thru Row 20. Fasten off. EDGE—In Lt. Green, make sc all around with 3 sc in corners. Repeat with Emerald Green. Make a 6-petal flower of Lazy Daisy stitches in Red ½” from one corner. STEM—In Emerald Green, ch 15. Sew from flowers toward op­posite corner. RIGHT LEAF—In Emerald Green, ch 8, sl st in 2d st, ch 1, dc in next 2d st, (ch 1, dc in next st) twice, ch 1, sl st in 1st st, ch 10 and fas­ten off. LEFT LEAF—Ch 10, sl st in 2d st, ch 1, (dc in next 2d st) 3 times, ch 1, sl st in 1st st, ch 10. Fasten off. BOW KNOT—In Lt. Green, ch 33. Fasten off and tack into a bow knot. Following il­lustration, sew leaves and bow knot in place. Stretch and pin right-side-down in a true square. Steam and press dry thru a cloth. Line back and sew bone ring to top corner.

"D"—REVERSIBLE POT HOLDER—MATERIALS—28-yds. White and 21-yds. Delft Blue (or other colors). 1-bone ring.

In White, ch 22, 21 sc on ch. Ch 1, turn, 21 sc. Fasten off. ** 1ST PATTERN ROW—In Blue, 1 sc in 1st sc at other end of row, * a long sc over next sc, inserting hook at base of sc into row below, a long sc over next sc, inserting hook 2 rows below, a long sc over next sc, 1 row below, 1 sc in next sc. Repeat from * 4 times. (Ch 1, turn, 21 sc) twice. Fasten off. Re­peat 1st Pattern Row in White. 2D PATTERN ROW—In Blue make a long sc (2 rows below) over 1st sc at other end of row, a long sc, 1 row below, over next sc, 1 sc in next sc. Repeat from * to * in 1st Pattern Row 4 times. A long sc. 1 row below, over next sc, a long sc, 2 rows below, over next sc. (Ch 1, turn, 21 sc) twice. Fasten off. Repeat 2d Pat­tern Row in White. Repeat from ** for 2d half of holder, omitting final 2 White rows of sc.

EDGE—In White, work sc around, with 3 sc in corners. Stretch and pin right-side-down in a true square. Steam and press dry thru a cloth. Sew bone ring to one corner.
