Size 1 White Crochet Hook

Ch 6, join with a sl st to form a ring, ch 3. Row 1—Work 19 d c in ring, join with a sl st, ch 3, turn. (All rows are ended in the same manner). Row 2—Taking back loop only, work 1 d c in the sl st, * 1 d c in next st, 2 d c in next st; repeat from * 9 times (10 corners). Continue increasing at each corner by working 2 d c in one st until 24 rows in all have been made. Starting on right side, work 1 row of picot st around entire piece as follows: 1 s c in first st, * ch 2, 1 s c in same st, skip 1, 1 s c in next st; repeat from *. Fasten off. Repeat picot st on raised d c ridge every 6th row to center of bag (see illustra­tion), being sure to work on right side.

SIDE INSERTS—Ch 3, join with a sl st to form a ring, ch 3. Work 12 d c in ring. Continue as given for bag, with 6 corners only, for 6 rows. Make a corresponding piece.
   Fold bag into shape. Sew circles to sides of bag, allowing the picot st row to extend over the side sections.
