REQUIREMENTS:
Mercerized Cotton Size #10
1 steel hook #8
1 bone ring ⅝-inch.

1st round: Make 30 s c over ring, join with a slip st.

2nd round: Ch 4, 1 d c into same space as beginning of ch-4; ch 3, 2 d c into next st, * ch 3, skip 3 sts, 2 d c into next st, ch 3, 2 d c into next st (shell), repeat from * 4 times more, ending with ch 3, slip st into 3rd st of starting ch-4.

3rd round: Slip st in top of d c and 1 slip st into space, ch 4, 2 d c into same space, ch 3, 3 d c into same space (shell), * ch 6, skip next space, into next space make (3 d c, ch 3, 3 d c), repeat from * 4 times more, ch 6, join with a slip st to top of ch at beginning of round.

4th round: Slip st across 2 d c; 1 slip st into first ch-3 space; ch 7, slip st back into 4th st from hook (picot), * 1 d c in same ch-3 space, ch 3, slip st into top of d c just made (picot), repeat from * 3 times, 1 d c in same space, ** ch 4, placing hook under the ch 4 and ch 6, make a s c, ch 4, into the ch-3 space make 5 d c with a picot between, 1 d c more into the same space, repeat from ** around, ending with a s c under the 2-chains, ch 4, slip st to top of first ch made at beginning of round. Fasten off.

CORD: Fasten thread in between 2 scallops and make a chain 14-inches long, slip st in base of chain. Fasten off.
