Jack Frost Knitting Worsted—5 4-oz. Skeins
1 Ball Jack Frost 100% Angora Rabbit's Hair Yarn

SWEATER: Ch 61. Row 1—Draw yarn thru 2nd ch from hook, skip 1 ch, draw yarn thru next ch, draw yarn thru 3 loops on hook, ch 1, * draw yarn thru same as last loop, skip 1 ch, draw yarn thru next ch, draw thru 3 loops on hook, ch 1; repeat from * across row, ending with 1 sc in last st, ch 1, turn. Row 2—Draw yarn thru 1st st, skip 1 st, draw yarn thru next st, draw thru 3 loops on hook, ch 1, * draw loop thru same st as last loop, skip 1 st, draw yarn thru next st, draw yarn thru 3 loops on hook, ch 1; repeat from * across row, ending with 1 sc in last st, ch 1, turn. Work row 2 until piece measures 8 inches. Ch 33 to one side. With separate strand of yarn, ch 33 to other side for sleeves. Continue in pattern over sleeves and back for 3½ inches. Work over 26 patterns for 3 rows, add 11 ch at neck edge, work over 11 ch and remaining sts for 3 inches. Omitting sleeve, work pattern for 8 inches, fasten off. Omitting 10 patterns for neck, attach yarn and work other side to correspond.
Cuffs: Work 1 row of sc, skipping every 4th st. 5 rows of sc, st for st. Sew sleeves and side seams.
Border: Row 1—Starting at neck edge of left front, work 1 sc in each st to lower edge, 3 sc in corner, * 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, skip 1 st; repeat from * across lower edge, 3 sc in corner, 1 sc in each st of right front to neck edge, ch 1, turn. Row 2—1 sc in each st, working 3 sc in each corner. Row 3—1 sc in each st, 3 sc in corner to lower corner of right side. Work buttonholes as follows: 1 sc in each of the 1st 3 sts, * ch 2, skip 2, 1 sc in each of next 8 sts; repeat from * to neck edge. Row 4—1 sc in each st, 3 sc in each corner.
Collar: Work 1 sc, skipping every 4th st, across neck. Work back and forth in sc, increasing 1 st at end of each row until collar measures 2½ inches. Fasten off.
Edging: Attach Angora to collar on left front. Work 1 sc, * skip 2 sts, 5 dc in next st, skip 2 sts, 1 sc in next st; repeat from * around collar and right front as illustrated. Also on cuffs.
LEGGINGS: Ch 129. Work pattern for 8 inches. Work to center, add 9 ch for crotch, work over 9 ch and 1st half for 8 inches. Next row—Work 1 sc in every other st. 1 sc in each st for 14 rows. Fasten off. Attach yarn to end of ch 9 added to crotch. Work over these 9 sts and 2nd half same as 1st leg. Work 1 row dc to top. Make a loose ch 32 inches long. Lace thru. Trim with tassels as illustrated.
BONNET: Ch 67. Work pattern for 4 inches, fasten off. Omit 1st 11 sts, attach yarn, work over next 11 sts for 6 inches. Crochet sides of this piece to omitted sts at each end with sc, fasten off. Work 1 row sc across neck edge, skipping every 3rd st. 4 rows of sc, st for st. Fasten off. Across front edge work 1 row sc, skipping every 4th st. 4 rows of sc, st for st.
Ruffle: Attach Angora to 1st row of sc, ch 2, work 2 dc in each st across row. Fasten off.
HELMET: Ch 3, join with sl st to make ring. Row 1—6 sc in ring. Row 2—2 sc in each st. Row 3—* 1 sc in each of 1st 2 sts, 1 dc in 2nd st of previous row; repeat from * around row. Row 4—* 1 sc in each of 1st 3 sts, 1 dc around post of dc of previous row, inserting hook sideways; repeat from * around row. Continue increasing 1 st in each gore for 10 rows. Work another piece to correspond. On the 2nd piece work 1 sc in each st over 4 gores for 2 rows. Row 3—Increase 1 st at end of row. Row 4—1 sc in each st. Repeat rows 3 and 4 twice. Row 9—Decrease 1 st at end of row which was formerly increased. Row 10—1 sc in each st. Repeat rows 9 and 10 twice. Work 2 rows of sc, st for st, fasten off. Crochet the piece just finished to the 1st piece made with sc. Work 1 row of sc over the 1st row of sc of 2nd piece. Work 1 row of sc around edge of cap. Strap: Work 5 sc over the 1st 5 sc in 2nd gore from peak of cap. Work back and forth in sc for 3½ inches, or desired length. Make loop for buttonhole. Fasten off.
