MATERIALS: 2 Skeins Kentucky All Purpose "Decorative" Metallic Yarn No. 103—Bone Crochet Hook No. 5 — 6 three-quarter inch bone rings (for belt)

COLLAR (Size 13½) - Ch 61. Row 1: Thread over hook, insert hook in 2d st from hook and pull loop thru, thread over hook, insert hook in 3d st from hook and pull loop thru (5 sts on hook), thread over hook and pull thru 5 sts. Ch 1, forming an eye. *Insert hook in eye and pull loop thru. Insert hook in side st of scallop just made and pull loop thru, insert hook in next st of ch and pull loop thru, insert hook in next st of ch and pull loop thru, thread over hook and pull thru the 5 sts. Ch 1. Repeat from * to end of ch (30 scallops). End off. Cut yarn leaving 6" for fastening. (All work is done from right side with each row started from same edge.) Row 2: Insert hook at top outermost edge of 1st scallop and pull loop thru. Pull short end to front and work over for 8 sts. Ch 1. * Sc in next st, sc in eye of scallop. Repeat from * across row. End, leaving 6". Row 3: (This row increases by picking up st at base of scallop). Insert hook in 1st st and pull loop thru. Work over short end as before. Ch 3, pull loop thru 2d st from hook, thru 3d st from hook, thru st at base of ch, thru next st of previous row (5 loops on hook). Thread over hook and pull thru the 5 loops. Ch 1 forming eye. * Insert hook in eye and pull loop thru, insert hook in side st of scal­lop just made and pull loop thru, insert hook at base of scallop and pull loop thru, insert hook in next st of previous row and pull loop thru, thread over hook and pull thru the 5 loops on hook. Ch 1. Repeat from * to end of row (59 scallops). End, leaving 6". Row 4: Repeat Row 2. Row 5: (This row has same number of scallops as Row 3). Pull loop thru 1st st. Ch 3, pull loop thru 2d st from hook, thru 3d st from hook, thru st at base of ch, thru next st of previous row. Thread over hook and pull thru the 5 loops on hook. Ch 1 forming eye. * Insert hook in eye and pull loop thru, insert hook in side st of scallop just made and pull loop thru, insert hook in next st of previous row and pull loop thru, insert hook in next st of previous row and pull loop thru, thread over hook and pull thru the 5 loops on hook. Ch 1 forming eye. Repeat from *. End, leaving 6". Row 6: Repeat Row 2. Row 7: Re­peat Row 5. With needle, fasten off threads at end of each row. Starting at neck edge, sc in each st around collar, adding an extra st at the two outer points. At starting point on neck edge, make 8" ch. Make similar ch on other side. Add tassels.

BELT (Size 28½" including rings). Ch 121. Work as rows 1 and 2 of collar. Repeat rows 5 and 2 to de­sired width. Sc around belt adding extra st at each corner. Sc over rings. Sew 3 rings to each end of belt. Ch 85. Attach tassel to each end of ch. Lace thru rings.
